The Dorset County Football Association took over the lease of the County Ground on 1st April 1989. Following extensive building work to the old school building to make it into a two storey building The Dorset Football Association head quarters were officially opened on 3rd August 1991. Hamworthy United FC currently sub lease the pitch at the County Ground from the County FA.
Following a successful application to the Football Foundation for funding a new era is about to begin as the County Ground undergoes a major redevelopment to turn the existing grass pitch into a state of the art 3G stadia complex. With the facility due to be completed by the start of the 2016-17 season this is an exciting time for the ground and for the local community.
